The Necessity of the Tear Opening

Compared with the production process of ordinary cartons, the manufacturing process for easy‑open corrugated cartons adds one additional step: applying a high‑performance, self‑adhesive tear tape to the inner surface of the corrugated carton, and designing a corresponding tear opening for the tape. This allows users to open the carton without external force, while ensuring the tear opening is neat and does not affect product display.

Tear Tape

The tear tape used for easy‑open cartons consists of a modified‑tension polypropylene backing combined with a natural rubber adhesive. The natural rubber adhesive provides excellent initial tack, outstanding tear resistance, and strong adhesion to various surface materials. The tear tape used in corrugated carton production is generally wound on a reel. Depending on the width of the tear tape, the width generally ranges from 3 mm to 20 mm, and a roll of tape can be approximately 40,000 meters long. The long‑roll packaging method reduces the frequency of roll changes, thereby improving production efficiency.
